Amsterdam School for Heritage, Memory and Material Culture

Education

From its inception, it has been a strategic goal of the AHM to promote and develop active relation- ships between its research themes and programs and graduate teaching. Members of the AHM have also actively engaged in the development of graduate education in fields of heritage and memory locally and internationally.

To this end, AHM operates in close cooperation with national research institutes, such as the Huizinga Institute for Culture and History which developed a heritage and memory track for ReMA students and PhD candidates. AHM has been cooperating with the College of Humanities and the Graduate School and has developed a BA Honours program as well as a new, forthcoming international Research Master, ‘Heritage, Memory & Material Culture’.
