Many applications were submitted to the faculty's Research Council following this call compared to the number of applications submitted following calls over the past two years. This change can be attributed to the COVID-pandemic (many researchers had little time to spare in the past two years) and the fact that dozens of new assistant professors were appointed in the last two years. Therefore, the Research council decided to award many grants (in absolute terms) following this call. For upcoming calls, the number of recipients will probably be more in line with pre-COVID years. 

The following researchers were awarded a grant from the RIS fund to write an application or applications for a substantial personal grant, or to finish one or more (substantial, strategic) publications so as to strengthen their track record for an upcoming grant application.
