From its inception, it has been a strategic goal of the AHM to promote and develop active relationships between its research themes, programmes and graduate teaching.

Members of the AHM have also actively engaged in the development of graduate education in fields of heritage and memory locally and internationally. To this end, AHM operates in close cooperation with national research institutes, such as the Huizinga Institute for Culture and History which developed a heritage and memory track for RMA students and PhD candidates.
