Luna Hupperetz is a PhD candidate for the AHM and ASCA research initiative on "critical audiovisual heritage." She has an interest in activist documentary cinema, practices of audiovisual re-use and collaborative film archival methodologies.For the past four years, she has worked as a program producer and curator at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). As a film curator, she has been involved in the restoration and research of the recently restored anti-colonial film Oema foe Sranan (Women of Suriname, 1978). In light of this restoration, she co-directed and produced the short film A Battle Restored (Kiki Ho & Ananta Khemradj, 2022).
