Eline Kortekaas (1992) holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History (Utrecht University) and a Master's degree in Book History (University of Amsterdam).
As a PhD-student she takes part in the project "Decolonizing knowledge: Postcoloniality and the making of modern Indonesia’s knowledge culture, 1945-1970". In her subproject she delves into the role of the Dutch publishing industry in producing and distributing knowledge and hence the shaping of postcolonial knowledge cultures in Indonesia between the 1940s-1960s. The Dutch publishing house W. Van Hoeve, which was specialized in books on technology and science, lays at the core of her project.
