Pamela Jordan is a registered architect (RA USA, LEED AP) who uses acoustic methodologies to analyse ancient and contemporary built environments. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Amsterdam Centre for Ancient Studies and Archaeology, where she is working on an NWO PhD in the Humanities project called “Site Sound: using acoustics to analyze Mount Lykaion’s ancient sanctuary to Zeus.” Other recent projects have included places of worship, military installations, and infrastructural ruins. Her research has been supported by the HEAD Genuit Foundation, the Society of Architectural Historians, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Pamela holds master’s degrees in architecture and historic preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the guest-editor of an upcoming issue of Change Over Time dedicated to sound and heritage, as well as a co-guest-editor of a special issue of Cities and Health that is focused on sound.
