Report theft or loss of a device

Has your device been lost or stolen? Report a data breach immediately to ICTS via +31 (0)20-525 1402, or outside office hours you can contact CERT-UvA via +31 (0)20-525 3322.

In connection with a possible data leak, report the loss of any device containing work data as soon as possible to the Service Desk ICT Services on 020-525 1402, or outside office hours contact CERT-UvA via 020-525 3322.

Also take the following steps:

  • Change the password of your UvAnetID, and passwords of any other accounts.
  • Delete company and personal data on the device via the search and encryption function of your mobile phone (iPhone/iPad / Android).
  • Immediately contact Detron by phone on 020-525 1459 to have your mobile phone's SIM card blocked.
  • In case of theft, report it to the police.
  • In case of loss, check via the municipality's website whether the device has been found.
